The International Surfing Association (ISA) has announced that France will be the location for the 2008 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Championship.
It is the first time France has hosted an ISA tournament since 1992 when the World Surfing Games was held in Lacanau.
Fernando Aguerre, ISA president, said: "The ISA is very happy to go back to the great waves of France. By having the event in late May, we will be able to have great waves. I would like to thank Quiksilver Europe President Pierre Agnes for his leadership in bringing this event back to France."
Past competitors in the prestigious junior event include Stephanie Gilmore, Jordy Smith, Tonino Benson and Jeremy Flores.
The competition has been run annually since 2003 and has been previously held in Africa, the south Pacific and North America.
Earlier this month, the ISA announced it scholarship recipients. 20 junior surfers from 16 different countries have been made ambassadors of the ISA, including UK surfer Holly Donnelly.
A great range of Animal, Billabong, Roxy and Seafolly bikinis for 2007.
