Campaigners from Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) have organised a spring clean of the beach at Porthtowan in an effort to get the beaches looking their best as warmer weather approaches.
On the 23rd of February, campaigners will be gathering outside the Blue Bar and are encouraging others to join them to collect litter.
SAS campaign officer, Andy Cummins said: "This is a great opportunity for everyone to get involved and do something positive and a fantastic excuse to spend some time on the beach."
The SAS Return To Offender campaign will also be running in conjunction with this project and pieces of litter collected on the beach will be mailed back to manufactures with a campaign message.
Data will be collected by the campaigners for the Marine Conservation Society's Beachwatch survey.
SAS also has campaigns concerning safer shipping, no to toxics, marine litter, climate chaos and sewage and sickness.
