International surfers are set to descend on Durban for the six-star ASP World Qualifying Tour event, the Quiksilver Pro Durban.
The competition is the highest rated in South Africa and is expected to attract international talent as well as local surf stars such as wonderkid Jordy Smith.
Smith finished second in last year's competition after being beaten by Australian Luke Munro in the final. This year is Smith's rookie year on the ASP World Championship tour and he will be hoping to go one better at his home event.
The event is due to go off on April 13th at the New Pier which is on the Golden Mile of Surf City.
A total prize pool of $135,000 (£67,500) will be on offer to the competitors, with $15,000 (£15,000) up for grabs for the winner of the event.
Jordy Smith will also be competing Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach on March 18th.
