The ASP Oakley Pro Junior, which is the highest rated ASP Australasia Pro Junior, is to start this week in Queensland, Australia.
Starting on February 5th, the contest window last until the 10th for the nine-star rated tournament which boasts $30,000 AUD (£13,796) in prize money.
Oakley's Surf Marketing Manager Ronny Nelson, said: "We are stoked to be putting on a Pro Junior event, especially one at North Stradbroke Island. We are hoping that the event attracts a swag of international surfers as well as the top Australians."
As well as the money on offer there will be 3,500 ratings points up for grabs and the competition will feature big name youngsters such as Julian Wilson.
Wilson said he was "frothing to surf a junior comp at North Straddie" and the whole concept that Oakley has put together "sounds amazing".
The previous event on the tour was held at Burleigh Heads and was won by Tamaroa McComb.
