Day two of the Oakley Pro Junior has got underway and the top seeds have announced their presence at the competition in near perfect conditions.
Top seed Stuart Kennedy made it through his heat despite a slow start. He finished with a 13.17 total to go through ahead of Joe Sear, Jarrad Bell and Sebastien Zietz.
"I actually feel relieved that I advanced. The ratings have been playing on my mind since the Burleigh event and I felt the pressure today...Hopefully I can start hitting my straps in the next round," said Kennedy.
Tamaroa McComb, who beat Kennedy in the final of the Hurley Burleigh Pro Junior last week, also progressed from round two along with Jesse Adam, Chris Salisbury and Blake Ainsworth.
The Oakley Pro Junior has a $30,000 (£13,796) prize pot and the winner will receive 3,500 ratings points. Kennedy is currently first in the ratings with McComb in third.
