The Rip Curl Clean and Clear Women's Pro surfing event is to take place in New Zealand this weekend.
Kicking off on March 15th, the country's best surfers are to go head to head at Tay Street Mount Maunganui on the east coast of New Zealand, competing for the $5,000 (£2,489) top prize, reports Surf.co.nz.
Surfers of all ages will be taking part in seven different divisions while the women only field makes it a unique event in the surfing calendar.
Many spectators will be focusing on the Rip Curl Open Women's division as this will be the last opportunity for competitors to gain points and qualifications into the final event of the year – the Corona Super 16.
Beginners will also have the chance to compete with the Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day taking place alongside the more professional events.
Held on Saturday 15th March, it will give first-timers a chance to enjoy the water and take a surfing lesson as well as getting hold of an exclusive goodie bag.
Meanwhile, the Association of Surfing Professional World Tour comes to Bells Beach in Australia this week.
