The Monster Energy Pipeline Pro saw no action over the weekend due to low swells and flat conditions caused by the heavy storms which are hitting the mainland of Hawaii currently.
With the competition currently at the round of 64 stage, it is estimated that the tournament only needs two full days of competition to be completed.
Contest Director Sean Wingate said they are hopeful for some action this morning, saying: "We're looking forward to an increase in swell tonight that looks promising for a Monday morning start."
Early tournament favourite Andy Irons was knocked out last week but plenty of big names remain in the contest. Joel Centeio, Pancho Sullivan and Roy Powers all remain in with a chance of winning the contest.
$50,000 (£25,000) of prize money is on offer to the competitors and the event is also ranked as a three star contest.
