Defending ASP World Champion Stephanie Gilmore took time out of her busy schedule yesterday to surf with 25 promising young surfers at Bells Beach.
Gilmore was back at the beach where she won the Rip Curl Women's Pro this week after a thrilling finale with Brazilian Sofia Mulanovich.
Speaking about the victory, Gilmore told the Geelong Advertiser: "I think it was a really good day for women's surfing in general. It was an amazing day. I'm still really buzzing over my win and I will be for a while because I've got about four month to lap it up now, so I'm really going to enjoy it."
The 20-year old is now second in the ASP World Tour rankings, behind Mulanovich, who won the first event of the tour, the Roxy Pro.
Gilmore next returns to action in the ASP World Championship Tour in the Billabong Girls Pro Rio which goes off on July 15th.
