Kelly Slater has won the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach after a dramatic last minute score gave him victory over Bede Durbidge.
The surfing legend pulled off an amazing aerial in the dying moments of the final to clinch the win – his second consecutive title of the season.
Slater now leads the ASP World Championship Tour rankings with two wins from two and has announced his intentions to go for the title.
"It'd be silly to say it's not on the radar somewhere, but my whole approach and attitude at this point is just to have fun. The title thing is there to get, but at this point it's more about pushing my performance to see how much I can do on a wave," Slater told ASP Surfing.
Durbide is now in second place in the rankings after this result at Bells.
The eight-time world champion Kelly Slater originally had no plans to surf at Bells Beach but changed his mind after his victory at the Quiksilver Pro.
