I weigh about 11 1/2 stone and use these fins in a variety of conditions and boards,(ranging from a Surftech fish to a standard 6’2 shortboard)

The most noticeable thing is how the H2’s feel quicker in a straight line due to the shape which creates less drag. Rail to rail transitions feel faster and more positive.

Bottom turns send you more vertically up the face (which took some getting used to!) and they feel controllably loose when you want them to. I found that they track in a straight line, a bit like a twin fin would which helped generate speed.

They take a few surfs to get used to, as any new fins do, but when you know how your board feels using a regular set of fins (my usual fins are FCS fibreglass FG3 or 5s) they are well worth a try,

Other things worth mentioning are that locally the 2005 Cornish and Open surf comp champ Richard Sills(S.A) won the comp on a set and FCS riders like Alan Stokes regularly mix up their fins including H2’s. Not forgetting they were developed by pro’s on the gold coast of OZ and Tahiitian big wave charger  Poto (Vetea David).
